I didn't get the opportunity to post some of my favorite looks from this beautiful Givenchy Fall 2010 Couture collection when it first showed. Ricardo Tisci was inspired by Frida Kahlo and her three obsessions: religion, sensuality and the human anatomy. The dominant motif of the collection was the skeleton, which was laid flat out in the lace appliquéd on a long tulle column or in three dimensions of dense clusters of crystals, pearls and lace on the back of a jacket in double silk duchesse satin. My favorite feature would be the skull with angel wings set in the middle. Tisci described the collection as being,"A romantic way to see death". What else can I say, this collection was definitely Couture Goth.
Next week marks the beginning of New York fashion week at it's new location, The Lincoln Center. I am highly anticipating the designers and their collections. I will be posting some of my favorite collections here. Who are you looking forward to seeing?

Marion Sorrenti is such a great photographer. The way he captured the beauty of the clothes and Abbey Lee Kershaw in black and white is truly amazing. If you haven't noticed yet Abbey is my fave model. This girl can do no wrong!
Zoë Kravitz will be seen all across Soho, East Village, and the West Village in the new F.W. 10.11 ad campaign for Alexander Wang. Abbey Lee Kershaw will also be featured in a video for the brand paying homage to Wall Street. As we remember Wang's F.W. 10.11 collection was inspired by the money making machine Wall Street, where we saw the to die for flared leggings! I will be purchasing a pair of them this fall!!!

I love this editorial. I don't know if it's because I've been planning a trip to the beach and staying in a motel or because of the fact that these girls are wearing high fashion in a Motel 6esque motel. I love the colors and how they pop against the not so colorful and kind of dull motel background.

Kate Moss celebrates her 30th British Vogue cover in the September 2010 issue. It was 17 years ago when a fresh faced Kate graced the cover of British Vogue in a sleeveless white dress. It's amazing how she seems to never age. In next months British Vogue Ms. Moss is featured in an editorial titled, The Moss Factor, where she styles falls top trends. She is definitely an icon and a great source for inspiration.
