Summer is officially here! As we approach the hot summer days and nights we have great inspiration from this seasons runway looks. Of course not all fashionistas can afford these looks but they are great sources of inspiration. Above I included some looks from Forever21 that can help you included that 70s style, stripes and tribal prints in your wardrobe. I personally own the first two items myself. The grey and white striped maxi dress I pair with strappy brown sandals and a braided belt. And the printed skirt pairs great with an over sized tank and brown or black strappy sandals. Don't be afraid to take chances with your wardrobe and search places that you wouldn't normally look to.

Madewell Fall 2011 LookBook
Fall is absolutely my favorite season! The cold weather and plethora of layers and boots. So when I saw Madewell's Fall 2011 LookBook i fell deeply in love. They feature my current favorite trends, the maxi and pleated midi skirts along with killer boots.
I got lots of outfit inspirations from this lookbook. I even think I've gained confidence to wear my Docs with a dress!

Another Level!
Well Abbey Lee Kershaw has reached a new level of greatness in my book. She's not only a Supermodel but she is also in a band! Instead of hitting the NYFW runway she opted to tour with her band, Our Mountain, which also includes her boyfriend Matthew Hutchinson. Can this girl get anymore awesome? These pics are taken from the new issue of Russh.

MBFW 2011
Fashion week got off to a great start today with some inspiring collections. There was lots of layering, a nod to the 70's and even my favorite period Grunge at Nicholas K. I honestly wasn't exepecting to like Rachel Zoe's collection much but her beautiful tailored suites and dresses are definitely on my wishlist. Below are some of my favorite looks from the shows.
M. Patmos showed lots of knits that will be great for layering. One sweater was made out of one continous thread, which means no seams, using a state-of-the art Japanese machine.
Nicholas K, plaid, Doc Martens, sheer, black and grunge what else can I say? This collection has everything that I love!!!!
BCBG Max Azria
Of course soon to be mom Rachel Zoe's collection would exude the 70's. Her long flowing dresses and tailored suites should be new additions to any smart woman's closet. I have been trying to find the perfect cape for a very long time and I think I have found it. Rachel did a great job at not over doing the 70's trend but I dont really think this will be a trend for her collection because we all know that it's the favorite decade for the well known stylist.

Jean Paul Gaultier Sping 2011 Couture
Being that I love edgy fashion and punk rock style, when I saw Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring 2011 couture show I automatically fell in love. The style of a punk rock can can peeked out every now and then and i also saw inspiration of the parisienne woman of the early 19th century and the 20's and 30's. The Mohawks and vintage inspired make up were a perfect way to revamp a great time in history.
